The not so long...long run
SUN Jul13
Long Run cut short 6:45pm. Memorial Park Long way around to Sabine. Stopped to drink water and couldn't bring myself to start running again.
Mood:Tired.
6.0 miles in 55:32 at 9:15 mins/ mile - Run
Weird. Run started off ok. I didn't have my sunshades because they broke on the last long run. I didn't have my creepers because I left those at work. Creepers are sunglasses that allow you to watch people without them being able to see where your eyes are.
What went wrong. I'd taken a nap, and when I woke up I didn't drink coffee. I always have coffee before I run. I can't seem to drink enough water for the life of me. I took vitamins with lunch and fell asleep..and for some reason when I take the vitamins I get really thirsty..but since I was asleep I didn't drink. I can run but when I stop I don't want to run anymore. I stopped at the starbucks and still felt ok. When I stopped at Sabine to drink I was just sweating like crazy. My socks were already soaked. The sunscreen I had applied had turned an Evil shade of gray against my skin. It looked like I had decided to play in the bottom of a large BBQ pit.
I even had one of those gel thins and didn't get sick. I haven't been getting my full night sleep like I used to. So I'm going to have to do some changes.
Back to my morning workouts. The snooze button has become my best friend. I have been pressing the snooze bottom from the time it goes off until the time I get up two-three hours later. I was even late to work two times last week...cause I'm tired.
Need to get some new running shades. Also need to get a camel back..one of those things where I can drink without stopping.
So I walked from Sabine (Downtown) all the way back to Memorial park Tennis Center.
*I saw what looked like the world's ugliest dog*
*I saw tons of rabbits* (They eat those is the state that borders us to the East)
*I saw the Waugh bats*
* I saw a Possum* (They also eat those in the state to the East of us)
The Weekend-
Saturday I never left the house.
Sunday I only left the house to go running. Yeah that's not like me but I'm tired.
I started to read 4th of July today and I am more than halfway through it...very good book.
