The Long Weekend (Never long enough)

Fri- I discovered that I can spend 3 hours in the Galleria and not really find anything. Shirts run small at Urban Outfitters, and since I don't try anything on I have to go back and return it. Sometimes it's good just to take a holiday or a day off and do what you want to do without having to be on a set schedule or make plans.

Will be working on two books as I paid a visit to half priced books.

Was craving Cafe brasil but I was informed that they were closed. Ended up going to Empire Cafe.

Friday night ended with a bang. Saw the fireworks from a quiet little spot on Memorial Drive, without the hassle of being around anyone I didn't want to be around.

Saturday and Sunday were family days.
Callie my cat just isn't very friendly. Charlie came over to play with Callie and Callie cornered him and was being very unfriendly. Cats are so weird. She let him know that this is her house. Having the other cat come over was not my idea. I wouldn't never allow that. Cat's are not like dogs..you just can't bring another cat over...or else you get the KungFu hissing and all that jazz.

Labor Day
I didn't plan any summer trips which is very rare for me. Last year I went to Yosemite and spent a week out in Cali. I love me some Cali. Well I wanted to go to Seattle or Denver this summer. My first choice was Seattle. I couldn't find the airfare or the hotel prices that I wanted. Well Denver is a little overserved from Houston. UA F9 both have major hubs there. Also Continental and Southwest have several flight into DEN. I prefer to only fly Southwest as a last resort. Well all of the airlines are having sales into Denver so I booked with Continental. My money and my frequent flier miles stay with the hometown airline. So I've got to start looking at some things to do in Denver.
